Triumvirate Assuming Power in the Name of the Prince of Orange, 21 November 1813 depicts a pivotal moment as three leaders accept authority around a crowded table. Gijsbert Karel van Hogendorp sits at the right while Van der Duyn stands behind and the Count of Limburg Stirum points to the officers. To the right Colonel Van Oldebarnevelt (Witte Tullingh) raises his hand with Captain Van Heynsbergen behind him; Elias Canneman sits left with women and children nearby and portraits of William of Orange and Maurits on the wall. Painted c.1828 by Jan Willem Pieneman, this oil on canvas reproduction offers rich color and historical gravitas—an elegant centerpiece for collectors and classic interiors.
